OUR CAMPAIGNS
RAISING OUR VOICES

We strongly believe that campaigning is one of the most effective ways to promote and work for a cause. With an increasing number of people using social media to educate themselves and take subsequent action on-ground, YMH has put a lot of effort into connecting with people on a national as well as international level. We have successfully organized many on-ground and online campaigns focused on a variety of issues to encourage conversations and suggest solutions.

INDIA FOR MENTAL HEALTH

Of these, #IndiaForMentalHealth was our - and India’s - biggest, one-of-its-kind online campaign. We featured more than 70 speakers and artists from around 30 cities across India through Instagram Live sessions, discussing the unique challenges that come with creating mental health awareness in India.

GO YELLOW

We also collaborated with various universities and organizations for the #GoYellow drive to raise concerns and generate awareness around suicide prevention. We aimed to provide a friendly, non-judgemental, safe, and supervised environment for people to talk about the semicolon.

MEN'S HEALTH WEEK

Our #MentalHealthForMen campaign, held during Men’s Health Week in June 2020, highlighted the needs and concerns of men and their mental health. The campaign encouraged men to come forth and uninhibitedly express themselves, as we believe that emotional expression by all men is valid and needed.

LIVE WITH PRIDE

Our biggest pride campaign, #LiveWithPride: Queer Folx & Mental Health, was highly appreciated by our audience. We delivered carefully-researched information on various terminologies, gender, sexuality, and many other pivotal themes to foster a healthy and affable space for queer folx.

MORE CAMPAIGNS

Campaigning isn't a one-time act. We need to keep raising our voices, keep sharing, keep acting. At Youth for Mental Health, we've organized several short campaigns, online as well as offline, to keep the momentum going, because the fight for making mental health accessible, affordable and acceptable is a long one.
